Unless you're a zombie or some carnivorous monstrosity that feeds on Hypothalamus glands. If you know anything about evolutionary biology, you know why Dr. Green's (Penelope Ann Miller) initial idea to kill the creature in The Relic would have worked. Of course, we're assuming you don't.
Put your knowledge of all-things that creep, slither and crawl to the test with the only movie monster survival guide/quiz book of its kind.

What will you do when they come for you?

Abandon all hope ye who enter here. The group that disappeared in the film's opening sequence ignored numerous warnings.
This was the first.
2. It wasn't the power of Christ that compelled whatever lurked within the darkness of the cave. It was something else. Take us there or just tell us where it is so we can prove it.

3. Some trace of the last group of explorers was found near the entranceway. That particular item is of no interest to us, but it's what you'll get if you miss this question. What we want is the old mosaic that was pieced together for Tyler (Eddie Cibrian) and Dr. Jennings (Lena Headey). Describe it.

4. Welcome to Hell. Wait, that's not right. What we meant to say was "The Hall." Still don't know where you are? Think of a word that's synonymous with gigantic.

5. The hope of finding Strode (Kieran Darcy-Smith) alive diminished when a piece of his diving gear was found. He did manage to survive without it. The question is how.

6. Should the team have waited for help to arrive? If you're asking us, the answer is no. What was Jack (Cole Hauser) thinking when he made the decision to find another way out?

7. It was a claw that led to
The Cave
(1) ) The first warning was posted on a gate outside the church. The sign read, "Prohibited Area/Zona Interzisa." (2) The cave was located in Romania, beneath the Carpathian Mountains (3) The mosaic depicted a centuries-old battle between the Knights Templar and some winged demons. Did you get the "old boot"? That's what was found near the entranceway. (4) Dr. Nicolai named the enormous cavern that was found beneath the cave's entrance, Titan Hall. (5) He mutated into one of the creatures.

(6) He didn't think a team could reach them in time. They only had enough supplies to last twelve days, and no one would start looking for them before that time because that's how long they planned to be in the cave. He also reasoned, "The best people to get us out, are all right here."
(7) It contained hair follicles  (8) The creature was once human. It had the same mark that was tattooed on the hand of one of the Romanian soldiers. (9) He overheard the team talking about him. He also told Top (Morris Chestnut) that he could smell the water they were looking for.
(10) What did Jack ask his brother to do because he couldn't do it himself?

(11) The creatures emitted an echoing, chirping noise to locate their prey. (12) The pulse that was emitted from the team's mapping gun proved to be an effective repellant. (13) It looked like the creature either sank its teeth into his head and/or neck. (14) The way out of the cave was through an ice vein.  (15) The question of whether or not the creatures could adapt to the outside world.

The Mist
Harglow (Charlton Heston) said he didn't have the stomach for it. We'll buy that.
the discovery of the Creature from the Black Lagoon. The claw that Dr. Jennings examined was infected with a parasitic organism that mutated its host. She also noticed a resemblance to amphibian tissue, but another feature suggested otherwise.

8. Most, if not all, subterranean organisms originate on the surface. That was Dr. Jennings' belief. We'll choose one - the creature that attacked Dr. Nicolai (Marcel Iures). See if you can find enough evidence with that specimen to support her theory.

9. Jack's mutation began with a heightened sense of hearing and smell. How were those senses first displayed?

10. It's your turn to ask us a question. We've already got the answer - Get the others to trust him.

11. Close your eyes and listen… you hear it? Describe it for us - the sound that was heard whenever one of the creatures was nearby.

12. What does every monster fear? Fire, right? Sorry, but we're all out of that. The repellant we're arming you with is a handheld device that runs on some type of battery
power. So make sure you use the thing only when it's absolutely necessary.

13. Fast-forward to the chapter entitled Rebreather. We know what happened to Alex (Daniel Dae Kim) after he was dragged away. Our question pertains to the injuries he sustained when he was attacked.

14. Our clever, little friend, Johnny Brundle, has found his way onto the set of countless films. You may not have seen him, few have, but that's only because most don't know where to look… and the fact that he's a fly. We'll point you in the right direction by saying this - find him and you'll find a way out of the cave.

15. One more question (about a question) before we let you go. It was answered in the film's closing sequence.

The Mist
Frank Darabont, 2007
Those who ventured into The Mist in the film of the same name did so for different reasons. Only a handful made it out alive. Norm (Chris Owen), the bagboy, was among those who did not. How would the story have changed if he survived his encounter with the monstrosity that took his life?
