Unless you're a zombie or some carnivorous monstrosity that feeds on Hypothalamus glands. If you know anything about evolutionary biology, you know why Dr. Green's (Penelope Ann Miller) initial idea to kill the creature in The Relic would have worked. Of course, we're assuming you don't.
Put your knowledge of all-things that creep, slither and crawl to the test with the only movie monster survival guide/quiz book of its kind.

What will you do when they come for you?
Live and learn. Learn and live!

The Conjuring
(9) It was infested with spiders (10) Left because foul odors usually linger, they don't come and go, like evil spirits do. (11) Under her bed (12) Those who were the most psychologically vulnerable (13) The banging stopped at dawn (14) She kept hanging up the pictures it kept knocking off the walls. (15) They didn't have a place to go. Not many folks can accommodate a family of seven. And it wouldn't have mattered where they went because they were dealing with a possession, not a haunting.

(16) That was the time of death of the woman who hung herself. (17) Wheezing, wailing and screams (18) He never asked his wife what she saw that was so disturbing that it made her lock herself in a room for a week. (19) The chair miraculously turned sideways and she landed on her back
(20) The photograph that was taken at the beach

Poltergeist
Poltergeist are usually associated with an individual while hauntings seem to be connected to a particular area.
Poltergeist also tend to last only a couple of months whereas a haunting could go on for years.
All questions and quizzes written by Philip Cerreta unless otherwise noted
James Wan, 2013
If you hear us clap in a haunted house or a house that's possessed that means it's safe to come out of hiding. That's what Nancy was doing when Roger (Ron Livingston) found the cellar. What did he find down there that he didn't want his daughters to see?
10. Creaking doors and floorboards, things that go thud in the night. That's what old (and sometimes haunted) houses do, don't they? What would indicate the presence of a malevolent spirit would be the stench of rotting meat- if it came and did what?

11. Some people see dead people, others hear them. The one that spoke to Christine (Joey King) the night something tried to drag her out of bed told her that it wanted her family dead. Where would she have seen it if it appeared in the first place she looked?

12. Feed your inner demon, kids, so it doesn't feed on you. We bet if you took it to an IHOP and scribbled out the H on one of their breakfast menus it would remind you of the three stages of demonic activity; infestation, oppression and possession. What type of folks were usually most susceptible to the second?

13. The doorknobs that Roger tied together wasn't to keep anything from getting into the house or out of it, it was to keep the doors from banging together which seemed to happen in threes and stopped whenever Mr. Potter waved his magic wand No, that ain't right. Rearrange the letters in wand and delete everything after stopped.
14. Wouldn't you try to get whoever moved into your home to leave the premises if you were still around in some unearthly form after your passing? Anyone who hasn't lived in a trailer park would, which would explain why those things are never haunted. The entity that latched itself onto Carolyn (Lili Taylor) kept at it in what became a daily chore for the both of them,

15. Like most hauntings, the question you have to ask is why didn't they just move out of the place, at least temporarily? Why didn't the Perrons do that?

16. Its 3:07 a.m., do you know where your inhuman spirits are? Why did all of the clocks stop at that time?

17. When Ed played back the tape recording he did with Carolyn, only his voice could be heard. What did he hear when it turned itself on?

18. If we don't know the answer to something that happened in a movie, we'll either watch the movie again or ask someone who's seen it. What was Ed referring to when he remarked, "I don't know. And I won't ask"?

19. Its a miracle! Well, that's how we saw it. Never yell at whatever the hell is possessing someone when
they've got that person hanging from a ceiling, upside-down. Explain to us how or why Carolyn didn't break her neck when she was dropped.

20. New from the makers of Air Wick comes Air Wicked. Chase away those pesky demonic entities with your choice of four haunting fragrances. How do we know they work? We don't, but many a men have fled their home when those damn things are lit up so it's worth a try. It took an exorcism to get rid of the one in this film and a reminder of what Carolyn would be leaving behind if she didn't fight it and what she said she'd never forget. What did she recall?
Poltergeist
Tobe Hooper, 1982
What exactly is a haunting? Cultural tradition defines it as the presence of an apparition. The same could also be said about a poltergeist intrusion, but there is a difference. How does one differ from the other, you ask? That's the question. Explain it to us, as it was explained to the Freelings.
