TRUTH, JUSTICE AND THE HEROIC WAY
Hancock
Peter Berg, 2008

Everyone has a breaking point. For Hancock (Will Smith), it was the word "asshole." You'd snap too if people kept calling you that. Mary's (Charlize Theron) fuse wasn't nearly as short, but when it was lit… Hell hath no fury! Want to provoke her? This five-letter word would do the trick.

Unless you're a zombie or some carnivorous monstrosity that feeds on Hypothalamus glands. If you know anything about evolutionary biology, you know why Dr. Green's (Penelope Ann Miller) initial idea to kill the creature in The Relic would have worked. Of course, we're assuming you don't.
Put your knowledge of all-things that creep, slither and crawl to the test with the only movie monster survival guide/quiz book of its kind.

What will you do when they come for you?
Live and learn. Learn and live!

That's his story, but he ain't stickin' to it. The origin of the Joker's maniacal appearance changed with each telling. There were two versions in this film. How did they differ from one another?
All questions and quizzes written by Philip Cerreta unless otherwise noted
Christopher Nolan, 2008
11. There were a number of gadgets that enabled Bruce to infiltrate Lau's headquarters, but the one we're thinking of had to be used first. Tell us what it is and/or how it worked.

12. Every wonder why some superheroes wear a cape? You know at some point, (probably at the most inopportune time) it's going to get snagged. With that said, Bruce couldn't have done what he did when he arrived in Hong Kong, had he forgotten his.

13. Care to join us for a game of 52 Jokers? It's played with a deck of cards that includes (you guessed it) 52 Jokers. Some, of course, are worth more than others and one trumps them all. That's the one you want. The question is, do you know what to look for? You should if you know what we're referring to.

14. It's the little things that often annoy people the most. We could see how one of the Joker's habits would bother someone to no end, if they had to live with the guy 24/7. Would it help if we told you that it was something he did without even realizing it half the time and it didn't cause anyone any harm? It should.

15. Bad boys, bad boys,
what'cha gonna do? What'cha gonna do when they come for you? This episode of Cops was filmed on location in Gotham City. Our film crew followed a GPD patrol car to 8th and Orchard. What did they find when they got there?

16. There's a hint in the wording of this next question, if you need it. Bruce just stood by when Dent turned himself in as the Dark Knight. Why?

17. If you ask Dent why he left some of the decisions he made to chance, he might tell you, "I do it so my conscious will be clear." Is there any truth to that?

18. There was a scene in the movie that served as a reminder to one of our long-held beliefs - laughter is the best medicine. But it couldn't cure what ailed some. Take us there.

19. The only sensible way to live, in the Joker's not-so-humble opinion, was without rules. Batman had only one. Do you remember what it was?

20. You know why the Joker's weapon of choice was a knife? Of course, you do. He savored all the little emotions that were displayed in the last moments of a person's life. What did that have to do
with his claim of knowing someone better than their closest friend?

21. Some people want to watch the world burn. We'll settle for a flaming pyramid of cash. How did the Joker start that blaze without a match or a lighter?

22. We don't remember Morgan Freeman complaining about having "Too much power" as the Almighty Lord in Bruce Almighty. So why would he do it in this film, as a mere mortal? Maybe he didn't want the responsibility. If we're wrong, tell us. We also want to know what he was specifically opposed to.

23. What's the word we're looking for here? The Joker told Batman, "You won't kill me out of some misplaced sense of self- ... . And I won't kill you because you're just too much fun."

24. Why did he do it? That's all we want to know. Once we figure that out, maybe we can work together to resolve the problem. Where's there's a will (and a Dark Knight) there's a way.
The Dark Knight
(10) The Joker told Gambol (Michael Jai White) that his father cut up his face with a kitchen knife. He took a razor to his own mouth in the version that Rachel heard to comfort his disfigured wife. Anyone buying that one? (11) We're referring to the device that mapped out an environment through a high frequency pulse. (12) He used his cape to glide through the air when he jumped from the roof of a tower. (13) The Joker left hand-written messages on the cards he left behind. (14) He kept licking (and smacking) his lips. (15) Two dead security officers, one named Richard Dent, another named Patrick Harvey. (16) He believed that Dent was a symbol of hope and that he stood for something more important. (17) No, he flipped a two-headed coin and always called heads.

(18) The message appeared on the truck that was commandeered by the Joker, with one slight alteration. He spray-painted an S in front of the word "laughter" so it would read, "Slaughter is the best medicine." (19) He wouldn't take another life. (20) He believed that people show themselves for who they really are in the last moments of their life. (21) He used the cigar that Chechen was smoking. (22) Bruce took Fox's sonar concept and applied it to every cell phone in the city to turn them into microphones. He thought that was unethical.  (23) "Righteousness"
(24) The Joker tried to show schemers like Commissioner Gordon, how pathetic their attempt to control things was.
