  ON THE ROAD AGAIN
National Lampoon's European Vacation
Amy Heckerling, 1985
.......................................................................................................................................
Spend it while you can, we say - while you can still enjoy it. Just don't blow your entire life savings. You know what we concluded from what Harry (Jeff Daniels) bought? If that was the best he could do, he couldn't have had much of a life. What are we referring to?
Places everyone. Some knucklehead, aka Clark Griswald (Chevy Chase), is about to back his car into Stonehenge, toppling the ancient ruin like dominos. Before that happens, a photo will be taken. We think it's a keeper, but it won't last forever unless someone carves the image into one of the ruined ruins. All we're asking you to do is pose for it… and shout, "RUN!" as soon as the authorities show up. Action!

Dumb and Dumber
(1) The van he customized (2) He sold Harry's dead bird to a blind kid, along with a few baseball cards and a sack of marbles.
(3) He accidentally locked his wallet inside a newspaper vending machine when he stopped to pick up a copy of Rhode Island Slut. He was also robbed by the sweet, old lady he insulted.  (4) B and C are incorrect. "I've Got Worms" was the name of the store they wanted to open. It's true that Lloyd didn't wait for an answer, but the question was addressed to Joe (Mike Starr).

(5) He was moving his arms and pretending to run as fast as the van was moving. (6) He bet Harry that he could get him to gamble by the end of the day.   (7) The guys ended up in Nebraska after Lloyd took a wrong turn a few miles away from Aspen.   (8) Samsonite. Lloyd knew that Mary's surname started with an "S," and that was the name on her briefcase, so he figured that must be it.  (9) "Build me up," he said, "So I won't have to brag about myself later. Tell her I'm rich and good-looking, and (that) I have a rapist wit."  (10) "I desperately want to make love to a schoolboy."

National Lampoon's European Vacation
Clark asked his son (Jason Lively) to act like he was setting his watch. We don't have to explain why, do we?

2. What Lloyd (Jim Carrey) lacked in brains, he made up for in... give us a minute, we're thinking. He did manage to raise $25 for the trip to Aspen. So that's gotta be worth something. What did that little endeavor involve?

3. They say that ignorance is bliss. If that's true, why did the pair seem to have so many unhappy moments? You saw the look on Lloyd's face the day he went to the grocery store to buy some pinwheels and a few other "bare essentials," didn't you? Remind us of the trouble he found. That's what turned his smile upside down.

4. Which (if any) of the following statements are incorrect?

A. Harry and Lloyd were fired from their jobs on the same day.
B. The guys wanted to open a worm-farm store called "We've Got Worms."
Unless you're a zombie or some carnivorous monstrosity that feeds on Hypothalamus glands. If you know anything about evolutionary biology, you know why Dr. Green's (Penelope Ann Miller) initial idea to kill the creature in The Relic would have worked. Of course, we're assuming you don't.
Put your knowledge of all-things that creep, slither and crawl to the test with the only movie monster survival guide/quiz book of its kind.

What will you do when they come for you?
Live and learn. Learn and live!

C. Harry never got the chance to say no when he was asked if he wanted to hear the most annoying sound in the world.
D. Harry's first words to Mary (Lauren Holly) were, "Nice set of hooters you got there!"

5. Are we there yet? Are we there yet? Are we there yet? Almost makes you want to smack someone, doesn't it? What was Lloyd doing when Harry shouted, "Would you quit it! We're not even through Connecticut yet and you're already annoying me!"?

6. Talk about dumb luck. Lloyd won $20 from Harry without even realizing it. Do you remember how?

7. How stupid would we look if we screwed this one up? What was Lloyd referring to when he remarked, "Pardon me Mr. Perfect, I guess I forgot that you never ever make a mistake"?
8. Paging Misses Lamb... Misses Mary Lamb. If you think that's funny, try getting her attention at an airport - using the name that Lloyd, in his infinite wisdom, determined it to be.

9. Lloyd was too nervous to approach Mary himself at the gala. That was why he asked Harry to put in a few good words for him. What did he ask him to say?

10. Here's the final word on this quiz - What came out of Lloyd's mouth when he tried to tell Mary that he was crazy about her?
