Unless you're a zombie or some carnivorous monstrosity that feeds on Hypothalamus glands. If you know anything about evolutionary biology, you know why Dr. Green's (Penelope Ann Miller) initial idea to kill the creature in The Relic would have worked. Of course, we're assuming you don't.
Put your knowledge of all-things that creep, slither and crawl to the test with the only movie monster survival guide/quiz book of its kind.

What will you do when they come for you?
Live and learn. Learn and live!

The Exorcist
(1) People hear strange noises in attics all the time. That's not unusual. The source was, but there was no evidence of that until it possessed Regan. (2) The simple answer is she was possessed, but even if she wasn't, a stimulant wouldn't have helped. She was exhibiting hyperkenetic behavior. It just seemed like an odd choice to us. (3) Pathological states (4) Latin, Greek and backwards English. That right there is at least another half-dozen readers. Our soul for that? Sure, why the hell not?

(5) His head had been turned almost completely around. (6) An alien intelligence (7) To have one shoved up your ass for vomiting on us.
(8) "Till she rots and lies stinking in the Earth!" (9) Relevant (10) She didn't remember any of it.

The Last Exorcism
The demon broke two of Nell's fingers.

William Friedkin, 1973
The devil made us do that - utter a word we shouldn't have when we questioned our readers about the first strange occurrence in the house that Mrs. MacNeil (Ellen Burstyn) rented. Strange is the word we should have used, not "unusual." because … Help us out, here.
2. A priest and a doctor walk into a bar on Halloween night. Walking, or rather stumbling in behind them is a woman possessed, or drunk out of her mind. It could be both. When the priest asks the young woman if everything is ok, she nearly bites his head off, replying in a deep, guttural voice, "Do I look ok!? This is the only way I can escape my demons." "Here," interjects the doctor, "Take two of these and call me in the morning." "Ritalin, what the hell good will that do?" "Hey, I may not be a real doctor but it worked for Regan (Linda Blair) in The Exorcist, didn't it?" It didn't. Why not?

3. Someone flies off a bed and you expect us to believe the person isn't possessed? Not a chance in Hell. P.S. We didn't buy Dr. Taney's (Robert Symonds) explanation either. That's short for what could (but isn't likely to) induce abnormal strength and accelerated motor performance.

4. Should we or shouldn't we… sell our soul to the demon who possessed Regan to help us translate this book? It spoke in four different tongues. One was English. What were the other three?

5. When Lt. Kinderman (Lee
J. Cobb) saw Dennings' (Jack MacGowran) body, he knew it was a homicide, but the possibility of Regan being the perpetrator never crossed his mind. Again we have to ask, why the hell not?

6. Always ask to see it in writing first, kids. If you can't pronounce it or spell it, you don't want it. Trust us. "Somnambuliform Possession," as it was explained to Mrs. MacNeil, was a rare disorder that usually started with a conflict or some type of guilt. The person believed that his or her body was invaded by a spirit or one of those - if you can believe that. We can and do.

7. We saw what happened when Father Karras (Jason Miller) asked the demon a question it couldn't answer. That's why we never leave home without a crucifix. You know what they say; its better to have one and not have to use it then…  You'll find out if you do the same thing to us.

8. The family that possesses together never stays together. When they do, it's usually just for an evening through a single, random host for kicks. Most get in, take care of business and leave. What did the demon say to Father Karras when
he asked it how long it was planning to stay in Regan's body?

9. Sounds like Hella. Father Karras was told not to converse with the demon during the exorcism unless it was AEELNRTV because it would mix lies with the truth to confuse him and to attack him psychologically. Unscramble the underlined word.

10. You know how many of these questions you'd' have to get right to beat Regan's score if she took the same quiz? Not many. And she was there. What did she remember about her possession?
In the classic Twilight Zone episode, The Silence, an aristocrat bet an acquaintance that he couldn't keep quiet for a year. The demon that Cotton (Patrick Fabian) encountered in The Last Exorcism promised to leave Nell's (Ashley Bell) body if he could hold his tongue for ten seconds. He didn't last two. What possessed him to speak?
