Unless you're a zombie or some carnivorous monstrosity that feeds on Hypothalamus glands. If you know anything about evolutionary biology, you know why Dr. Green's (Penelope Ann Miller) initial idea to kill the creature in The Relic would have worked. Of course, we're assuming you don't.
Put your knowledge of all-things that creep, slither and crawl to the test with the only movie monster survival guide/quiz book of its kind.

What will you do when they come for you?

King Kong
(1) Carl was doing the same thing we were doing when his character was introduced. He was watching a movie and thinking (about what his investors thought of his latest safari film). (2) Singapore and Rangoon (3) He was trying to find a lead actress for his next picture when he said that to Preston (Colin Hanks). (4) Mike (Craig Hall) was speared through the chest by one of the natives.
(5) He wouldn't leave his camera and tripod behind.

(6) Dancing, flips and the cute tricks she did to amuse him. (7) The chase led her right to the second one. Coincidence? Perhaps. (8) Lumpy (Andy Serkis). It doesn't get much worse than being swallowed alive by a giant leech. (9) They would be a vaudeville crowd who heckles and/or boos Ann off the stage.  (10) "He's just a dumb animal."

Ladies and gentlemen, behold the man in front of the curtain. His name is Carl Denham (Jack Black). It's an honor for us to introduce you to someone who, on occasion, reminds us of ourselves. Those who can tell us what he was thinking and/or doing when he
Peter Jackson, 2005
More questions, more monsters in The Monster Book of Movie Monster Trivia
was first introduced will be the first to witness what's behind it.

2. Who wants to be the first person to sign up for an S.I. Adventure cruise? They'll be two other stops in between. One on the way there, for anyone who may have second thoughts about the trip, and another on the way back for those in need of immediate medical assistance. Where would each group end up if the first was where Ann (Naomi Watts) thought she was going when she agreed to star in Carl's next picture and the other was the place where Captain Englehorn (Thomas Kretschmann) threatened to take the ship?

3. Whether it be a wrong answer, the loss of a job or even a limb to a giant, snarling ape, always remember, "Defeat is always momentary." What was Carl lamenting when he uttered the same words?

4. Nothing lasts forever. Some things just seem like they do. Our Skull Island questions start now. Hayes (Evan Parke) told Carl that if he found the island and went ashore, he wouldn't come back alive. What happened to the first person who didn't?

5. You know what we'd do if we were caught in the
middle of a Brontosaurus stampede? We'd drop anything that would slow us the hell down. We might even warn others before we left the area with a sign that read, "You must be at least this short and as fast as a raptor to run with the pack." Got that, Mr. Denham?

6. Does no mean no to a giant ape? Kong went ballistic after Ann shouted, "That's all there is! There isn't any more!" No more what?

7. Think about this one. Why would a T-rex run after Ann if it already had something much larger and far more appetizing in its mouth? It doesn't make much sense, does it? It does if the creature did it to do this. We can't be the only ones who are willing to give it credit for being a lot smarter than what many paleontologists have led us to believe.

8. Out of all of the casualties on Skull Island, who would you say got it the worst? The person whose head was bitten off by Kong? He died instantly, if it was his head and not his lower extremities. It was a little hard to tell, but our vote still goes to this person.

9. Suppose Ann had a recurring dream when she
returned to New York City brought on by PTKD (Post Traumatic Kong Disorder). Right before she wakes up, she hears Carl say, "I told you that if you didn't kill them fast, they'd kill you." The question is who are they and how do they keep killing her?

10. It wasn't beauty that killed the beast, or the airplanes. It was the fall, wasn't it? Do you know why he chose to corner himself at the top of the Empire State Building? Someone thought they did. How was that question answered in the film's closing sequence?
Rock, paper, giant ape. There's no winning that game, unless you know what soothes the savage beast. For Joe, all it usually took was a couple of bananas and the sound of Jill's (Terry Moore) voice whenever she whistled or sang what song?
