  NOTHING BUT TROUBLE
Funny Farm
George Roy Hill, 1988
.......................................................................................................................................
Back in the day, when people still rented their movies the old fashioned way (call it the Blockbustian Age), taglines became a game of one upsmanship. This one just made us laugh. What (Neal Page) really wanted was to spend Thanksgiving with his family.
Records are made to be broken. Well, most are. If you've got the balls to do what Andy (Chevy Chase) did at a local diner we say, "Go for it!" What it proved was this - whatever it was, it couldn't have been that bad or he would have stopped at one, right?

Planes, Trains and Automobiles
(1) Three days with the turkey  (2) He feigned interest in the only reading material at his disposal - a vomit bag. (3) He sold shower curtain rings for a company called American Light and Fixture. (4) Why didn't Neal and Del ask for separate rooms at the Braidwood Inn? (5) Del thought one of his hands was between two pillows when it was between Neal's legs.

(6) His hostility and intolerance  (7) Neal did. Every other word out of his mouth was "fuck" when he complained about the company's service.
(8) Neal was punched in the face and then picked up off the ground by his testicles (ouch!) after he pissed off the one person who could get him to Chicago. "If I wanted a joke, I'd follow you into the john (to) watch you take a leak."  (9) He played with his balls a lot.  (10) He hitched a ride in the back of a refrigerated truck that was hauling cases of beef.

Funny Farm
He ate 20 sheep testicles before somebody told him what they were.

What he got was…

2. What's a four-letter word for the delicate perception of the right thing to say or do without offending someone? The answer is tact. Neal (Steve Martin) sat through Del's (John Candy) stories for as long as he could without saying something, but a man can only take so much. That was why he did what he did. What are we referring to?

3. "Like your work. Love your wife." That was Del's motto. What did he do for a living?

4. We'll give you the answer to this one, you give us the question - They did, but like the saying goes, beggars can't be choosy. The only reason why they got a room at all was because Del knew the manager (Charles Tyner).

5. The guys' first night together wasn't a total loss. Some pleasure did come
Unless you're a zombie or some carnivorous monstrosity that feeds on Hypothalamus glands. If you know anything about evolutionary biology, you know why Dr. Green's (Penelope Ann Miller) initial idea to kill the creature in The Relic would have worked. Of course, we're assuming you don't.
Put your knowledge of all-things that creep, slither and crawl to the test with the only movie monster survival guide/quiz book of its kind.

What will you do when they come for you?
Live and learn. Learn and live!

out of it, though neither one cared to admit it. What brought them closer together?

6. Neal had two personality traits that were "borderline criminal." Do you remember what they were?

7. Whatever happened to service with a smile? The agent (Edie McClurg) at the Marathon Car Rental Company used the words "You're fucked!" when she got into a shouting match with Neal, but it wasn't her fault that he threw away his copy of the rental agreement. Still, there's no need for such language. Who shouted the profanity first?

8. Hop in a cab and tell the driver you're headed a few hundred miles away from where you currently are. He'll either think you're kidding or completely nuts. There's two keywords in that statement. Find them and tell us how they relate
to the scene in question.

9. You know how you can tell if someone is really attracted to you? They tolerate your annoying habits. Which one of Neal's bothered Del the most?

10. How did Neal finally get home to Chicago?
All questions and quiizzes written by Philip Cerreta unless otherwise noted
