THE DEVIL MADE THEM DO IT
Bedazzled
Harold Ramis, 2000
.......................................................................................................................................
Would you sign a contract that began with the words, "I, (insert name here), hereafter known as the damned"? You might if your life was already a living hell. Elliot (Brendan Fraser) spent most of his nights in front of the TV, eating popcorn and a frozen dinner. There was usually some crying and pondering involved, as well as to why he was alone and why nobody liked him. But don't feel sorry for the guy, he got his seven wishes - without having to relinquish his soul. Explain that one.

Unless you're a zombie or some carnivorous monstrosity that feeds on Hypothalamus glands. If you know anything about evolutionary biology, you know why Dr. Green's (Penelope Ann Miller) initial idea to kill the creature in The Relic would have worked. Of course, we're assuming you don't.
Put your knowledge of all-things that creep, slither and crawl to the test with the only movie monster survival guide/quiz book of its kind.

What will you do when they come for you?

Repossessed
(1) He lost his balance when the demon shouted his name. (2) All over the TV set (3) Our Lady of the Evening Church had an express line for 8 sins or less. (4) He wondered why there weren't any Japanese players in the NBA. (5) She made the film break.

(6) It was a retirement home for exorcists. (7) PMS (8)  Satan's spirit flew out of the TV during a broadcast of the Ernest and Fanny (Ned Beatty and Lana Schwab) Miracle Hour. (9) All of those factored into the odds but it was mainly due to his bad heart. (10) Mayii could have been disqualified for bringing a pair of baseball bats to the fight.

Bedazzled
The contract was voided when he wished that Alison (Frances O'Connor) had a happy life. Read the fine print, It fell under the category of
"Selfless acts of redemption."
Back up people, there is something to see here, but we don't want to be responsible for any frivolous lawsuits. The stairs that Father Mayii (Leslie Nielsen) fell down in the film's opening sequence seemed to go on forever. If he didn't trip and he wasn't pushed, what the hell happened?
2. Remember kids, its only funny when it happens to someone else. Braydon (Thom Sharp) was drenched in pea soup the night his wife (Linda Blair) was repossessed. Can anyone tell us where it would have ended up if Nancy's head spun completely around?

3. Listen, sister, maybe you have an eternity to wait, but we don't. If you can't tell us how we can get our confession heard before we ask our next question, it ain't happening. Somebody point us in the right direction.

4. To paraphrase The Joker (Jack Nicholson), "Wait'll Father Brophy (Anthony Starke) gets a load of this… quiz." We'd bet our soul that the question that nagged him the most wouldn't boggle his mind half as much as any one of these. Of course, we're also betting on the man upstairs to save our rear end if there is, in fact one below.

5. You remember what happened when Father Brophy asked Nancy to prove that she really was possessed by the devil, don't you? What convinced him ruined the film for the rest of us, so to speak.

6. A sign came to Brophy in the form of another - one he almost ran over in the chapter entitled May The
Faith Be With You. It was how he found Father Mayii. Tell us why it should have been the first place he looked.

7. Nancy displayed all the main traits of demonic possession - an ungodly voice, maniacal facial expressions, violent spasms… but that didn't prove a thing to Father Mayii. She could have been related to Joe Cocker. His next guess is what her son (Beni Thall) believed all along.

8. Why would the devil agree to take part in a televised exorcism that raised money for a ministry? Sounds crazy, doesn't it? Not half as crazy as the way Nancy was repossessed.

9. Ladies and gentlemen, saints and sinners… place your bets. In one corner, we have The Belle From Hell. In the other, the Dove From Above. Its winner take all in a one-soul, anything goes match-up. Las Vegas odds-makers listed Mayii as a 25-1 underdog. Was that because of his poor eyesight, his bad heart, or the fact that he hadn't performed an exorcism in 17 years?

10. I scream, you scream, we all scream for cone-alingus. The devil used a trick that Mayii somehow resisted (turning Nancy's
body into an ice cream cone). It would have really taken a licking if Mayii used the illegal foreign object that was brought to the fight. To hell with the rules, we say. All is fair in love and exorcisms.
