Starship Troopers
(1) Klendathu. They hurled their spores into space. The Troopers were told to aim for the creatures' nerve stem because a bug could remain up to 86% effective even after losing a limb. (2) The creature had no ego and no fear. (3) They told him about the trip they bought for his graduation.
(4) A. Djana B. Shujimi C. Breckinridge (5) A group of Mormon extremists established an outpost deep inside the Arachnid Quarantine Zone.

He used his fists and a cinderblock to bash the creature's brains in.

Unless you're a zombie or some carnivorous monstrosity that feeds on Hypothalamus glands. If you know anything about evolutionary biology, you know why Dr. Green's (Penelope Ann Miller) initial idea to kill the creature in The Relic would have worked. Of course, we're assuming you don't.
Put your knowledge of all-things that creep, slither and crawl to the test with the only movie monster survival guide/quiz book of its kind.

What will you do when they come for you?
Live and learn. Learn and live!

Lights, Camera, Trivia

Full quiz available in volume 1 of Lights, Camera, Trivia
..................................
Paul Verhoeven, 1997
So, you think you're smarter than an arachnid? We'll find out. Our first question (here) is a three-parter that will put your knowledge of Bug History to the test. Which solar system was the source of the arachnids' meteor attacks? How were they able to colonize
planets that were light years apart without the access of ships? And what part of a bug's body was the most vulnerable?

2. I don't know if we'd go so far as to say that the Arkellian sand beetle was superior to humans, but it did possess a few qualities that most of us only wished we had. Name them.

3. How does a parent talk a child out of doing something they might regret when the motivating factor is the person they're infatuated with? Exterminating a race of giant arachnids almost sounds easy by comparison. How did Johnny's parents (Christopher Curry and Lenore Kasdorf) try to talk their son out of joining the Federal Service?

4. Johnny's (Casper Van Dien) main reason for joining the Federal Service was, obviously, to win Carmen's (Denise Richards) heart. Dizzy (Dina Meyer)
enlisted for almost the same reason. Whose decision was based on the following?

A. An interest in politics.
B. Couldn't afford to go to college.
C. Didn't want to become a farmer.

5. Admit it, unless your name is Johnny Brundle (more on him in a second), you cheered every time a bug was splattered in the film. But they didn't start the war. We did. Not us, them, the M.E.'s.. Explain.

6. We promised to get back to the other Johnny so let's get to it. Cue fanfare… This, as you may or may not know, is the story of a not-so-common housefly named Johnny Brundle. All Johnny ever wanted out of life was to see his name on the silver screen, along side the likes of Eastwood, Connery and Gibson. But as time went on, Johnny found out, "it ain't easy being a fly." Undeterred by his handicap,
he pressed onward, scratching his tiny little brain for days - weeks - months on end until he came up with a clever idea. "This'll show 'em!" he boasted. Johnny's dream did come true. In part, due to his persistence, and, well, ironically enough, his ability to disappear within a scene. "It was quite simple, really," as he recalled in his memoir, The Biggest Buzz in Hollywood. "I'd look for a spot on the set where I could blend in and wait for the director to call action." So you see kids, if a maggot can grow up to fulfill his dreams, so can you.
Now, normally we'd ask you to find the little guy. But he decided that he wanted no part of this film when he heard one of the characters exclaim, "The only good bug is a dead bug!" What ...

Colin Strause, 2010
Step right up, folks and whack a drone. Three for a buck. Show the bastards that they can take our brains, but they'll never take our freedom. Hit 'em hard and hit 'em fast. It'll cost you two if we have to show you how Jarrod (Eric Balfour) did it.
