House on Haunted Hill
William Malone, 1999
.......................................................................................................................................
Think of something that would drive a sane man mad. Now, ask yourself this question - Could the same thing also drive a madman sane? Step inside the contraption that was used to test that theory. We'll let you out as soon as the ride is over, if you can tell us the name of it.

Thirteen Ghosts
(1) Anyone who read his obituary. (2) The containment cubes (3) Arthur was confused when Rafkin told him that he was hired by his late uncle to hunt displaced spiritual energies. (4) The ghosts were trapped in the house by spells that were written on the walls in a language they didn't speak; Latin. (5) Not unless he was wearing the glasses that enabled a person to see ghosts. Two pairs, please!

(6) They waited for him to put his face up to the glass before startling him. (7) Each one of their souls had been enslaved by Cyrus and all died violent deaths. (8) Kalina told the others that she was in the business of freeing trapped souls.  (9) She said slipped through an opening when the house shifted, but that was a lie and you know why. She was in cahoots with Cyrus. (10) There was no way out when the doors sealed.
Only the lawyer split.

House on Haunted Hill
The Saturation Chamber

Unless you're a zombie or some carnivorous monstrosity that feeds on Hypothalamus glands. If you know anything about evolutionary biology, you know why Dr. Green's (Penelope Ann Miller) initial idea to kill the creature in The Relic would have worked. Of course, we're assuming you don't.
Put your knowledge of all-things that creep, slither and crawl to the test with the only movie monster survival guide/quiz book of its kind.

What will you do when they come for you?
Live and learn. Learn and live!

Frights, Camera, Trivia
..................................
Condition Kriticos. That, kids, was no accident. And what often happens when you mess with ghosts. Who thought it was? It being Cryus' (F Murray Abraham) demise.
2. Ghost hunting isn't a poor man's game. Full spectrum cams, EVP recorders, a good life insurance policy; there's all sorts of expenses. If the name of the game is to capture one alive, so to speak, you'll also need one (or more) of those things, which is what Rafkin (Matthew Lillard) was referring to when he remarked, "I don't know why they're here and I'm not staying around to find out." in the chapter entitled Rafkin's Warning.

3. Goats? Oh, Ghosts. Why didn't you just say that in the first place, kid? He/Rafkin didn't think he had to. Everyone knows what DSE's are, right? Apparently not.

4. Would a spell that was designed to keep a ghost away work if it was spoken in a language the ghost didn't understand? It should and did in the house that Arthur (Tony Shalhoub) inherited. Explain.

All questions and quizzes written by Philip Cerreta unless otherwise noted
5. Always knock before entering a bathroom. Arthur did before he barged in on his daughter (Shannon Elizabeth) in the chapter entitled Bathroom Company. But what if he didn't? Would he have seen anything out of the ordinary?

6. Don't you just hate it when ghosts do that? But that's what most ghosts do, right? What did the spooks in the Kriticos house keep doing that freaked Rafkin out?

7. Ghosts here, ghosts there, ghosties everywhere. Everywhere in the Kriticos house, at least. Most, according to Rafkin, were harmless. The others, well... what did they have in common?

8. Spirit reclamation? What the hell is that? Rehab for entities with anger management issues? Not quite.
9. If Arthur and his family couldn't get out when the doors sealed, how the hell did Kalina (Embeth Davidtz) get in? Got an answer for that one? We do.

10. If the haunted Kriticos house had one other soul roaming through the halls the night they moved in and that soul was you, and like them, you managed to make it out alive, what would you say if you were asked why you stayed as long as you did, by someone who actually believed in ghosts?
