Unless you're a zombie or some carnivorous monstrosity that feeds on Hypothalamus glands. If you know anything about evolutionary biology, you know why Dr. Green's (Penelope Ann Miller) initial idea to kill the creature in The Relic would have worked. Of course, we're assuming you don't.
Put your knowledge of all-things that creep, slither and crawl to the test with the only movie monster survival guide/quiz book of its kind.

What will you do when they come for you?

Tremors
(1) Operating a jackhammer. If you can think of a job that creates stronger, seismic vibrations in the ground we'd love to hear it. (2) The creature devoured all of Fred's sheep before it ate him so maybe it had enough. (3) Deeper (4) "What's that smell?" The creatures had a distinctive, foul odor.
(5) She called the creature, "The biggest zoological discovery of the century." If that doesn't draw the crowds in, nothing will.

(6) He thought they may have come from outer space. (7) Wasn't parked close enough to one of the boulders (8) No, it wasn't. They had the only vehicle that could make it up the jeep trail (9) He might introduce himself as a "Suckoid" salesman. (10) If you were alone, you'd be shit out of luck. Someone else would have to distract it. Waiting them out wasn't an option. We learned that from Edgar's (Sunshine Parker) death.

More questions, more monsters in The Monster Book of Movie Monster Trivia
Imagine what you'd find if you stumbled upon the remains of a body that was ravaged by South American army ants, a week or two after it had been devoured. The stench alone would be enough to make you lose your lunch. What was found inside of Grampe Johnson (Matthew McCue) was no less disturbing.
Them!
Gordon Douglas, 1954
Ron Underwood, 1989
Would you take the worst job you could possibly think of in a town besieged by giant, carnivorous earthworms or the most dangerous one if you had to choose one or the other for the same amount of money? We know which one we'd pick. Earl (Fred Ward) thought
he had that. What did the latter involve?

2. Is an old farmhand enough to quell the hunger pains of a giant earthworm? We'd call that a snack. Any guesses as to why it didn't eat all of Fred (Michael Dan Wagner)?

3. You know what our reply would have been if Earl asked us if there was some higher force at work? We would have said, "It's much ... than that, so to speak."

4. Fast-forward a half-dozen sequels or so. In the film's opening sequence, four hikers are walking through the abandoned town of Perfection, quizzing each other along the way on, ironically enough, monster movies when suddenly, seemingly out of nowhere, one of the mutant earthworms rises up to devour the person who keeps shouting out most of the answers. Add something to that scene, another question that would indicate that one was nearby.

5. What do you do for an encore after you've introduced people to the eighth wonder of the world? If you don't mind having your theater demolished a second time and you can catch one of those mutant earthworms alive, it could
burrow up through the center stage. Just make sure the price of admission covers your rebuilding costs and the lawsuits that are sure to come your way. All we'd ask for in exchange for a marquee title would be a seat closest to the nearest exit. Two if Rhonda (Finn Carter) accepts our invitation. We have her to thank for it.

6. Any guesses as to where a 30-foot-long earthworm might come from? The first smart-ass who answers, "Under the ground," will get fed to one. They could have been mutations caused by radiation. That was Val's (Kevin Bacon) first guess. If Earl was right, this quiz would have been placed in a different category.

7. "Running is what you do when a plan fails." The person who said that would have had to make a run for it if Rhonda didn't come up with the idea to pole-vault from one boulder to the next. Some might call that a plan. We'd call it luck because it wouldn't have worked if her truck ...

8. One plan involved Burt (Michael Gross) and Heather (Reba McEntire) going for help. Why them? They did have enough ammo to wipe out every man, woman and mutant earthworm in the town of Perfection, but that
wasn't the reason, was it?

9. Would you buy anything from a snakeoid salesman? We said snakeoid, not snake oil, but you get the point. That's what Walter (Victor Wong) wanted to call the creatures before he came up with "Graboids." What would Melvin (Bobby Jacoby) say he did for a living if he came knocking on your door with one of the creature's tentacles for sale?

10. Standing still and remaining absolutely quiet would make you invisible to one of the creatures if it had you cornered, but that wouldn't save your behind. Think of something that might that doesn't involve killing it.
